Members of the Penhold and District Optimist Club are advocating for our local youth by helping to make their DREAM of having a Skate Board Park in Penhold a REALITY. As seen in our application video, our local youth feel their dream of a skate park would promote positive change in our community by providing them a place they can take ownership and be proud of. We feel that if our youth are involved in the process of undertaking such a large development such as this, that they will know that they are an important part of our community which will in turn develop their desire to keep the community clean, safe, and vibrant.

Local youth who participate in the Penhold Youth Club and/or attend the Penhold School have expressed their desire to have a place they can call their own, a place they can go and skate board or bmx bike where they can be free to develp their skills and meet new friends in a safe and positive environment.

An important part of Penhold's vission is the Penhold S.H.A.R.E.S. Model. (Supportive.Healthy.Accepting.Responsible.Ever-Active.Safe.) This project supports the S.H.A.R.E.S. Model and we believe that...

A Skate Park in Penhold would promote Positive Change in our Community and turn a DREAM into REALITY!
